In April 2022 we put our house for rent, sold or donated most of our things, and set out for a new life of adventure and self discovery.
But our nomadic journey started gradually long before that. We had a dream board with pictures of all the places we wanted to visit in our kitchen for years. I often looked at it with longing, dreaming that one day I’ll be able to travel with my boys, show them the world.
For years I tried to look for ways to make a second income, a passive income that would allow us to travel, to have more free time and freedom. I tried many things and juggled different part time online gigs as a freelancer while still keeping my day job. When the pandemic started, I let go of my day job, switched to working online full time and the boys transferred from local public school to American online school. Then, once the borders opened up again after almost 2 years, we rented our home, bought one way flight tickets to Greece and flew towards our nomadic life.
Since then we’ve been traveling, while working and studying online, living in Greece, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Bali and Vietnam. We celebrated our 1st anniversary of nomadic life with a trip to Singapore and currently plan our next destinations: China, Hong Kong and Japan.
